About me

I am a passionate and dedicated Physics teacher with a strong academic background and years of teaching experience at both university and secondary-school level.
I graduated from the University of Cambridge with a first-class degree in Natural Sciences and hold a PhD in Astrophysics from the University of Oxford.
After four years as a Cambridge supervisor and Oxford tutor, I taught at Harrow School in London before becoming Head of Department and then Head of STEM at Giggleswick School in North Yorkshire. My family and I are now based in Parkstone - nestled between Poole and Bournemouth - where I continue to enjoy working as a secondary-school Physics teacher.
In my spare time I am a question setter for the British Physics Olympiad and a keen runner. I like to run along our beautiful coastline, and race in anything from parkrun to ultra-marathon distances (ideally involving mountain summits)!
Combining my academic background and teaching experience with a detailed understanding of you and your goals, I can help you to take the next positive steps with this fascinating subject.
